About Us

Our Story

Elderly First Humanitarian Foundation was founded in December 2019 by Damiete Cynthia Samuel, following years of personal charitable activity.

From her high school years, Damiete Cynthia was drawn to helping others. Throughout university, she continued supporting people through financial assistance, food supplies, and contributions toward medical bills.

Her concern grew particularly strong for elderly people living in hardship, loneliness, or without dependable family support.

Moved by their circumstances, she established EFHF to give that compassion a formal, lasting purpose.

Since its establishment, the foundation's activities have been personally funded by its founder.

Damiete Cynthia Samuel (Née Jenewari)

Founder, Elderly First Humanitarian Foundation

For Damiete Cynthia Samuel, compassion has never been just a word. It has been a way of life since her teenage years.

Her passion for helping others began in high school, where she found fulfilment in giving whatever she could to people in need. This commitment continued throughout her university years, when she personally supported children, adults, and elderly people through financial assistance, food supplies, and help with medical expenses.

Over time, she became particularly concerned about elderly people living in hardship, especially those without children, family support, or anyone to care for them. Witnessing their struggles deeply affected her and strengthened her determination to make a difference.

In December 2019, that lifelong passion became a formal humanitarian mission with the establishment of Elderly First Humanitarian Foundation (EFHF), dedicated to supporting vulnerable elderly people, widows, and widowers.

Since its establishment, the foundation’s activities have been personally funded by Damiete, reflecting her belief that compassion begins with the willingness to give, regardless of how much one has.

Through EFHF, she hopes to build a community where ageing does not mean being forgotten, where vulnerable people are treated with dignity, and where kindness continues to reach those who need it most.
